According to The National Foreclosure Mitigation Counseling (NFMC) Program's Congressional report, troubled borrowers who receive foreclosure prevention counseling are 60 percent more likely to avoid foreclosure than borrowers who don’t receive counseling. In efforts to support the NFMC’s mission, Homeowner Toolbox created CounselorDirect. With the implementation of this new web portal, Homeowner Toolbox has made arrangements and alliances with HUD approved counseling agencies to ensure our users receive the best chance for a favorable outcome. Although our formulas have been tested and proven to work, we now find ourselves in an environment that calls for additional representation and support in order to eliminate miscommunication and processing errors that lead to the improper declination of modification requests.
